At 1/4" thick-compared to the 5/32" diameter of standard 550 paracord-this cord provides the same versatility of your typical high-quality cord, but has a bit more heft and a higher tensile strength. When strength takes precedence over a thinner profile, Paramax will quickly become your paracord of choice.

Three 4-ply cabled nylon strands (a total of twelve strands altogether) make up the inner core of this Paramax paracord, and as with all military-grade paracord these inner strands can be separated and put to a variety of camping and survival uses, including fishing lines, trip wires, and more. The same 32-strand outer sheathing you'd find on 550 paracord adds strength and keeps your paracord's inner core protected.

Versatile, usable when wet, and ready as one one of the sturdiest ropes around or a multitude of other strand-based survival tools, the 100% nylon Paramax paracord is the big, beefier brother of the 550 cord you already know and love.
